Results of 147Sm–143Nd (ID-TIMS) and U–Pb (SHRIMP-II) Dating of Rocks and Minerals of the Chromite-Bearing Kluchevskoy Ophiolite Massif (the Eastern Segment of the Urals) and Their Geological Interpretation

The Urals is one of the reference mobile belts mafic type characterized by a wide development ophiolites which are associated with numerous deposits chromites significant industrial importance. In this regard, estimation age rocks ophiolite association will be useful for analyzing regularities formation chromite deposits. This work presented results dating chromite-bearing Kluchevskoy mafic–ultramafic massif, most representative all ophiolite-type massifs in Urals, two isotopic methods. U–Pb (SHRIMP-II, VSEGEI) zircon dominated assemblage from different composition both crustal and mantle sections massif yielded similar dates ranging 456 to 441 Ma. study silicate inclusions grains showed that they represented typical metamorphic minerals: low-T amphibole, albite, an epidote-group mineral. P–T conditions crystallization established via examination minerals these predominant fraction zircons coincides time lower epidote–amphibolite upper green-schist facies metamorphism happening under decompression conditions, i.e., during their exhumation deep level (8–13 km). A small amount late generation spread (277.4–318.1 Ma). corresponds stage collision orogeny Ural belt. more ancient 147Sm–143Nd 514 Ma should assumed as (or its boundary).
